Chemical Manufacturer Has Leaking Underground Water Line

A chemical manufacturer had concerns regarding the integrity of an underground line used to transport water between various buildings for fire suppression. Although not completely dysfunctional, the system was having problems maintaining higher pressures requiring a backing pump to routinely operate. Various testing, including acoustic emission, had failed to determine location of the leak.

Jurva Leak Testing pressurized the line with helium and began a series of tests on the line. On the second day of testing, we successfully located the source of the leak—to within several feet. Upon digging up the line, which was located beneath an asphalt driveway, a failed gasket was discovered.
