The Jurva Leak Testing Team Mark Bystrom: President & CEO Mark Bystrom, son-in-law of founder Ed Jurva, is the President & CEO of Jurva Leak Testing. Mark joined the company in 2001 and trained intensively with the founder for many years. In 2005, he acquired the company from Ed Jurva. Over the past eight years Mark has provided helium leak testing and consulting for clients around the world. From petroleum storage to aseptic food processing, he has yet to meet a challenge too difficult to solve. Mark works closely with clients to develop trusted relationships and provides them with well-reasoned strategies for their helium leak testing needs. Mark Bystrom holds a Bachelors of Science Degree and is Level 3 certified for helium leak testing under ASNT-TC-1A. As a testament to his skills and abilities, Mark is recognized as an expert in hermeticity by Intota. Intota is a leader in providing clientele with the best scientific and engineering expertise available. In addition, he has presented at the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE). Craig Bystrom: Partner Craig Bystrom, brother of Mark, is a partner of Jurva Leak Testing. Craig trained with Jurva Leak Testing for several years prior to joining full-time. He provides hands-on leak testing services for clients around the world. Craig is Level 2 certified under ASNT-TC-1A. Prior to joining Jurva Leak Testing, Craig worked in the manufacturing and industrial field for more than 20 years. He brings extensive diagnostic and testing capabilities. As a Class A machinist and electrical motor specialist, he performed diagnostic analysis, teardown and inspections, repair, and trouble shooting. His specialties included welding (stick, wire feed, MIG & TIG) and re-machining of parts. Craig received mechanical and electrical training from numerous organizations, including: EASA Inc., PdMA Corporation, and the Schaffler Group USA, Inc. Ed Jurva: Founder Ed Jurva is a veteran in the field of helium leak testing. With more than 39 years of leak testing experience, and the holder of four patents, Ed Jurva—and Jurva Leak Testing—are recognized worldwide as the leader in the field of helium mass spectrometry. Ed formed Jurva Leak Testing following a 20-year career with Medtronic, Inc., the world’s leading supplier of cardiac pacemakers. As a senior manufacturing engineer, he developed and implemented methodologies to ensure the hermeticity of Medtronic’s pacemaker components. Ed provides consulting services and works with Jurva Leak Testing on an as-needed basis. He is Level 3 certified under ASNT-TC-1A. Ed currently serves as a hermeticity expert for Intota and has for many years. Intota is a leader in providing clientele with the best scientific and engineering expertise available.
